Upgrading Your Server 9-39
1. See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.
2. Remove the side cover.
3. Remove the additional slot cover and a screw at the same location (height) as the
installation slot.
IMPORTANT: Keep the additional slot cover being removed for
future use.
4. Make the component side of the board face the bottom of the server, slowly insert the
board aligning the board connector with the slot on mother board.
NOTE: For a long-sized board, align the right end of the board with
the groove of the guide rail on the server and then connect the board to
the slot.
