9-72 Upgrading Your Server
Installing a SCSI interface device
IMPORTANT: To use a device that has an SCSI interface, a
separately sold optional PCI SCSI controller is required.
1. Prepare as described on page 9-4.
2. Pull the server out of the rack (as described on page 9-4).
3. Remove the drive cover and logic cover (as described on pages 9-25, 9-26).
4. Remove the PCI riser card (as described on page 9-51).
5. Remove the support bar and processor duct (as described on page 9-42).
6. Press the device carrier level to unlock the carrier, and then remove the carrier from the
front of the unit.
7. Press the tabs on both sides of the front panel.
