9-26 Upgrading Your Server
LOGIC COVER
Remove the logic cover when attaching or removing DIMMs, the CPU, or PCI cards, as well as
when changing internal cable connections
Removal
1. See page 9-4 to prepare.
2. Pull the server out of the rack (as described on page 9-4).
3. Loosen the set screw on the back of the logic cover, and then slide the cover towards the
back.
4. Lift the logic cover to remove it from the server.
Attachment
When attaching the logic cover, make sure that the logic cover tab is securely inserted into the
server frame, and slide the drive cover towards the front. When the cover is in position, tighten the
set screw on the back.
NOTE: If the logic cover is hard to close when attaching it, remove
the drive cover and attach the logic cover first.
