Step 4 If you click [Add] in the [Create Logical
Drive (Custom)] dialog box, the [Register Logical
Drive] wizard is started. In step 1/3, select the RAID
Level of the Logical Drive to be registered. After the
selection, click [Next].
Step 5 In step 2/3, the operation varies
depending on the RAID Level selected in step 1/3.
(1) When RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, or RAID 6 is
selected as the RAID Level, select an existing Disk
Array or create another Disk Array.
When you select an existing Disk Array, select the
Disk Array on [Disk Array]. If the RAID Controller
contains Physical Devices of different types, click the
type to be used on [Type]. Next, click the Disk Array
node to be used on [Disk Array]. After the selection,
click [Next].
To create a Disk Array to be used newly, click [Add
Disk Array]. Then the [Add Disk Array] dialog box
appears. Check the check boxes of Physical Devices
to be used for the added Disk Array by the number
required for the RAID Level to be created. Then click
[OK]. The newly created Disk Array is added to [Disk
Array] in step 2/3 of the [Register Logical Drive]
wizard.

ID 10 or RAID 50 is select as the RAID Level,
select Physical Devices used for the Logical Drive.
For RAID 10, check the check boxes of four Physic
Devices. For RAID 50, check the check boxes of six or
larger Physical Devices. Further, the number of
Physical Devices should be even and more than 5.
After the selection, click [Next].
